
About the Program
LEVEL UP with this week long hands-on experience at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office. Teens will interact with different units and specialty teams during this week long teen academy to better understand the ins and outs of the Sheriff’s Office. This academy is geared towards rising Juniors and Seniors in High School who are interested in criminal justice and want to gain an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office.
The program covers the following areas of the agency:
- Meet The Sheriff
- Emergency Communications and Training Center Building Tour
- Patrol Operations
- Special Operations
- Forensics
- Jail Tour
Summer Program Date: June 2nd – 6th
Times: Monday – Thursday 09:00am – 3:30pm (Lunch will not be provided) and 9:00 – 3:00pm on Friday
Application Deadline: March 31, 2025 (No exceptions)

If you do not have a computer or one accessible to you, your local library is a great resource for internet and computer usage, or an applicant can come to the Sheriff’s Office and fill out the application. - The selection process with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is very detailed and lengthy and is subject to position availability.

Requirements:
- Open to rising high school Juniors and Seniors who are St. Johns County residents
- Have a 2.7 GPA
- Currently reside in St. Johns County
